Third Space Studios is a community ceramic studio, offering individual studio memberships and classes for adults and children. Our name comes from the concept of a “third space”, a place that isn’t one’s home or work. Third spaces support a strong community, community identity and enriches the lives of the folks living there.

Our membership model offers folks who have some experience in ceramics to spend time in the studio, honing their skills. Membership is a monthly fee that allows access to the space and tools, after approval, assessment and orientation. This option is non instructional.

Hi, I’m Mollie Ward! I’m passionate about ceramics and sharing this art form with everyone. I grew up in the North Country, in Jay NY, and feel strongly about supporting the communities that have given me so much. Having received my Bachelors of Fine Arts from SUNY Plattsburgh, focusing in ceramics and drawing, I maintain a personal art practice, showing art locally and nationally. Third Space Studios is my biggest project yet! I come to this space after managing a community ceramic studio and teaching in both the community arts setting and at SUNY Plattsburgh. Having grown up in the Adirondacks, its important to me to create spaces and opportunities for my community to experience and experiment with ceramics. I will also be maintaining my own art practice in the studio, alongside you!
